Orthopaedic Mechanobiology Lab - 3237H Kim Building

Our 1200 sq ft lab possesses the following equipment/capabilities:

  • Cell culture facility (6' BSC, incubator, microscope, centrifuge))
  • Olympus IX81-DSU confocal microscope
  • Bio-Rad MyiQ single color real-time RT-PCR system
  • Surgical suite with isoflurane anesthesia
  • 225 N Enduratec TestBench materials testing system
  • 25 kN MTS Axial/ Torsional materials testing system
  • Vicon MX system with four F40 infrared cameras
  • Stryker arthroscopy system
  • Tekscan joint pressure measurement system
  • Cryostat, microtome, and paraffin processing stations
  • -80°C Freezer
